Not long now until you can start to learn to drive again!

an empty road

I hope you and your loved ones are well and keeping safe. What a very hard winter it’s been.

It’s been a while since you’ve been able to, amongst many other things, learn to drive in Oswestry or across the border in Wales, but with spring finally here though, hope is in the air. For young people in particular, the hope of returning to be able to see friends, get back to school and, in some cases, learning to drive and passing their test!

On the last of these, the training industry is reasonably confident of a return to (covid safe) training on or around April 12 – in England. That means learning to drive in Oswestry and Shrewsbury will be back soon!

As for Wales, there’s still no official word on when we can return but there is a chance – just a chance – that we may be looking at the next few weeks, along with other close contact services. So learning to drive in Welshpool might start even sooner!

Even though it’s still up in the air as far as Welsh rules are concerned, the England date is more positive, and it will also mean that driving tests in Oswestry and Shrewsbury can resume on or around the same date, if all continues to go well!

So hang on in there; if we all keep following the rules and keeping everyone around us safe, some kind of normality will return to driver training soon 😀
